future plans for the ranger include 3/4 ton axles out of a newer super duty only problem is i don't think the tired old 2.9l has what it takes to spin up 3/4 ton axles and 35-37" tires so a new engine would have to be transplanted i have really been leaning toward the 4bt, for the torque and i'm a diesel nut just think it would be cool to have a diesel ranger, but a carb. 302 would be an easier swap and a lot cheaper just not sure what it is like wheelin with a carburetor, also with the 4bt swap i was probably going to do a zf5 trans swap. witch brings me to my question what is it like wheelin with a manual and or a carburetor?
