I am thinking about puting a 302 out a 1990 f150 into a 1986 ranger and I was wondering if i could use the transmission and transfercase out of that f150 in the 1986 ranger? I was also wondering if I could use the radiator out of it?

Transmission yes, transfer case is too wide the comfortably fit inside the frame.

Radiator is really big single core, you would have to hack the crap out of the core support to get air to go over very much of it.

Most people go with a smaller two or more core radiator tucked under the radiator support.

Anything can be done with a sawzall and a welder. The question your asking is how easy.

Don't use the radiator. That is usually one of the most expensive parts of the build. That's why mine is in the back. Huge radiator and zero fitting problems.

My Explorer (91-94) radiator was $160 for a new one and mounted in the same exact place as the factory one did.
