Hey guys I just got a 302 and I want to put it in my 96 Ford ranger 2.3l 4cyl. I need to know other than having to change the mounts, what else do i need to do?It is fuel injected and my 2.3 is also. I don't the first thing about it other than hearing some things from boot legs. I just wanted to get some of you guys professional opinions on what I need to do , any modifications and how costy is it? Thanks

i hear that the efi set up from a 97 or so 302 sploder is a plug and play swap. that is what i am going to do in my 97.

^ BINGO....Check out my build thread......only wires that I had to repin were for the Tach and idot light. I spent way more than I had initially thought...But I rebuilt the Engine, replaced every seal, sensor, Filters, nuts, bolts, Bulbs, brakes, hoses, front end appearance and the entire interior. But I basically have a Brand new Ranger! Also I did everything over about 18 months so I didnt spend a bunch of money all at once. Like JoeyB said you can spend $1,500-10,000 or more.
