These should get you started. I personally have never done the swap. I know most guys do a 302 or 5.0L EFI. Some have made a 351 work while another guy on here did a 460 (I think his name is BigBlockRanger) that was built like a MOFO. It really gives you a lot of options. Upgrading the transmission to a C4 or a T5 is pretty common. There is an adapter to bolt this to the stock T-Case which from what I understand will handle a V8 just fine. You can also use a 1356 out of a F150, but I think this will require custom drive shafts and a frame modification. Again, I have never did the swap this is just what I have picked up on here. Someone with first hand experience will certainly chime in for more detailed help, but the links should give you a good start on your research.
