i am buying a 3 in leveling kit for truck and i wanted to know what kind of shocks work for it? or do all shocks work?

If I remember right 2" is the most you want to lift on OEM shocks. Any more than that and you'll want longer shocks.

I hope youre getting drop brackets because with 3"s of lift and no brackets, you'll never get that truck aligned right

tell me what i need!!! im gonna get bilstein heavy duty shocks and put them on the truck as well

With SLA and to torsion bars cranked up, it will ride like a lumberwagon but should still be alignable.

you need lift shocks. check the TRS Store or the tech library
heres a list to start with

or check your local parts store website and see if they carry them

I have stockers on my 2" leveled truck and it sucks, but i just bought them so I'm going to just get spacers for them, thats another option

never thought of SLA, dammit. he said lift kit not torsion crank i got confused lol

edit 2:
lift shocks for 08 start at 3". stick with what you got i guess

im just having trouble finding parts for my truck cause its an 08 has much changed on them since 03? im not much of a fabricator but im good with tools

if you look at the link i posted above. is shows the same shocks for 98-08.

so basically i should just go with a lift kit to save my front end in the long run than get a leveling kit?

what is this "leveling kit"? is it torsion keys? if so don't waste your money. you can crank the stock torsion bars 2" without hurting anything (and its free!) or get a body lift. a lift kit for your truck is going to be expensive

yea its a torsion key and i wont buy it now :yahoo:

is there a link for how to crank the torsion?

and also what would you recommend for a body lift?

thanks alot farmer!!! your numbero uno in my book...

i looked at performance accessories and i didnt find my year they have it up to an 06 will that work for my 08?

A 3" key lift will top out the suspension.
If you need that much lift, say to run 33's, then you need a body lift ($250 plus install) or the Superlift suspension lift kit ($1600 plus install).

You can't simply do drop brackets on a late-model. That's why the lift kits cost so effin' much.

Ha I try...

not sure about the body lift, someone with experience will speak up. As a general rule body lifts are all the same except for a couple of brackets
TRS shows a body lift for your '08

EDIT:
Johnny you beat me! I mentioned drop brackets because I didn't notice he had SLA, he said leveling kit, I assumed TTB :icon_twisted:
