3 in leveling kit

well then im going to crank my stock torsion :D

hopefully something comes up on this body lift cause i think it will look sick with it!!! thanks guys

lol sorry man all im doing today is sitting at home!!!! i got NOTHING else to do lol

thanks for the body kit link! and its cheaper than a lift kit lol by thousands!!!

if only this world would give us free lift kits :yahoo:

im having trouble now lol i cant even find the torsion bar on my truck =[ i feel stupid

EDIT:
Johnny you beat me! I mentioned drop brackets because I didn't notice he had SLA, he said leveling kit, I assumed TTB :icon_twisted:

No prob. Lately a number of suppliers on eBay have taken to calling clocked torsion keys "leveling kits".
Now then, OP has an '08 where the factory keys and rear blocks are actually lower than previous models, so an '08+ will be lifted slightly by using the '07-earlier factory torsion bar keys and rear blocks.

So here is my question now. i cranked my torsion bars and its level on the truck probably 2 and a half inches.

will bilstein heavy duty shocks work for my truck? i have found them on a few pages saying they fit and others saying they dont fit.

You DO NOT want to WASTE money buying those "leveling keys". You'll thank me in the year when your balljoints, tierods, and constant velocity joints are shot and you're out a grand in parts almost every year.....

It's not the keys themselves that cause issues, it's the user who cranks their sh1t to the advertised 'lift' that suffer.

Simply follow the how-to in the tech section of the site for cranking your torsion bars. IT'S FREEEE!!!!!

This 'mod' is called the "PreKey mod". If '07 and older keys are installed on an '08+ 4x4 with the rear untouched and the adjustment bolt threaded in the same depth as stock, it literally IS a leveling kit. (on an '08+ torsion bar truck). I prekey'd an old friends '08 4x4 and gained about 1.75" with the same adjustment bolt pre-load. Leveled the truck nicely, but it does require an alignment check. Some folks who have done the "PreKey" swap have reported "in-spec" alignment after the mod.....while others reported camber and toe needed tweaking.

The only part ## differences between '07 and '08 are the torsion keys and the rear blocks....where they went with 1.5" blocks as opposed to earlier model 2.5" blocks. Shock part numbers remained the same I was one of the founding members who discovered exactly WHY '08+ t-bars trucks are so freaking low over at Ranger-Forums.

In short, stock shocks are PERFECT.....and if you want new shocks because well, the stock are sh1t shocks, hit up a set of Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks. Look up '03 or something similar as most aftermarket companies are REALLY out of the loop as far as compatability as we are an knowlegable enthusiats. Even if you don't PreKey, I'd swap them shocks out as stock shocks are total and complete crap. lol.

Good luck with what you choose on doing and feel free to bump this thread or ask any other questions.
