Ok, i have a 93 5spd 3.0 stock, and was wondering will 33's be to much for the 3.73's with a 7.5 rear, and dana 35 front?

its not bad honestly. i have the same setup and with the 2.9. no real problems. its not a highway racer or anything tho.

I wouldnt do it. I just put 31's on my '99 3.0 from 29's. Stock it came with 27's, but I had put the 29's on it. I can feel a lot more drag on it with the 31's. I had thought about 32's, but now I am glad that I didn't. 33's would just be a lot to move with the 3.0 in my opinion. I even have a 5 speed, and am glad I didn't go bigger.

off the line i know it will be slow, but at top speed hows it gonna be on the highway? and around town?

with my 4.0, i had 3 73 and 33s. Bascially on the highway i couldnt touch 5th gear, it was always in 4th. And if it was a big enough hill i had to go to 3rd...and this is with a 4.0, not the 3.0 like you have. If you plan to regear fairly soon id do it in the mean time just to get by. As well youll be better off swapping out that 7.5 for an 8.8.

Its driveable, but annoying. Hills and mountains become a strain to climb. You find yourself between redlining second and not enough torque in third. I drove this way for 6 years.

On the interstate you find yourself constantly downshifting to fourth, and the gas pedal pretty much stays close to the floorboard to maintain speed on even the smallest incline. Milage will go down dramatically with 10-12 miles/gal being normal.

Exactly. You'll definitely want to regear it no doubt. For 33s on the 3.0L, 4.88:1 is right about ideal.

x2 on the rear end swap, spit out spider gears all over the intersection within the first month
