aight yall i really need opinions on this because yall may just influence wat i do with 2 grand:headbang:
alright here goes..i have a 93 4x4 4.0 5 spd. i got 32s plan on moving to 33s and i need more pulling power because i need to pull a boat up a serious incline, carry people in the bed comin home from the river, etc all dealing with alot of weight. how much more actual pulling power do yall think that i can prob get if i swap in 4.56s and keep my limited slip or should i just go all out and get a locker:icon_cheers:

4 56s are PERFECT with 33's. Have plenty of power and speed. If you have the money get a locker, if not keep your limited slip.

x2 what Nathan said. also, you can get a LockRight for less than$300, irrc. i got lucky and found a Detroit here in the for sale forum for $250, used in excellent shape. otherwise, they go for about $450 or so. much better due to being stronger, silent, and same work to install. i'm running 4.56's for the same reasons you want them for. best mod done. second was the locker. just my $.02.

×3
4.56 w/33s & a 4.0L is a perfect combo. Go for it :icon_thumby:

What kinda large people you puttin in your ranger bed that you ned 4.56's LOL. j/k but damn.

Where can I get a Detroit locker for "$450 or so"?

4.56s are a great gear with a 4.0L because they'll work with 33's - 37's... I vote for the locker as well if you can afford it, and I've found cheap lockers all over. Check the internet: forums (here/pirate etc), local 4wd sites, buy/sell (kijiji/craigslist) etc.
