Actually... the longer arm is the lower.

They also use a torsion bar as the "spring".
Are those CV joints running all through it? (my apology to the thread bearer, I'm not certain if he still gathers any information from this or not :/ )

one CV joint (6 ball type) at each knuckle, the inboards are Tri-lobes.
Tri lobes have a lot of axial movement built in, CVs don't.
axial, lateral, what 'da hell they move in-and-out to accommodate the swing of the knuckle.
