I was trying to check the base timing the other week but i couldn't find the SPOUT connector that you are suppose to disconnect. i looked all around the distributor and the drivers side wheel well. i couldn't find a blind connector with a plug in it... none of the wires seemed to match the colours either.

anyone know where the SPOUT connector is on a 93?

thanks for the help.

The spout connector is at the front drivers side by the headlight. Its got 2 red wires comming out of the wireharness and just a gray plug in a connector.

I'll have a look.

Is it in front of the battery?
or
Between the battery and power distribution box(PDB)?
or
between the PDB and the firewall?

thanks.

Its between the battery and front head light. Its the gray peice in the middle of the pic. Just unplug that and then you can set your timing.

i had a good look at my truck, i still can't find the damn connector!

what year is your truck?

do the distributor engines have the SPOUT connector?

thanks.

Find the "remote" mounted TFI module, it's next to it and that is mounted on the radiator support.... somewhere....
