3.0l rebuild

The engine in the truck I got is blown and needs repair.
My question is I found a contour that has a 3.0 also so can I use this block and add all the ranger parts heads, intake.
What head gaskets would I use ranger ones or contour ones I was told they were not the same.
Please help

If the Contour is a 3.0 Vulcan, Yes, use the Ranger head gaskets, new bolts and the Ranger intake, exhaust manifolds, water pump and accessories, and it will be a bolt in swap.

Contour's came with either a 2.0 Zetec or a 2.5 Mondeo(Duratec) in them. A common swap on the contour forums was to swap a 3.0 duratec since it's physically similar in size to a 2.5, however, nobody is likely to put a 145hp OHV engine in a car that came stock with either a 125HP 4cyl or a 170HP V6. SVT's put out around 195-200HP.

Hence the "IF" statement, I did not think they came with Vulcan 3.0's
