Ok, had bad lifter tick (loud when cold but goes away when warm)
Pulled intake plenum and replacing the lifters and pushrods...when pulling the old lifters some had the oil port pointing outwards (towards exhaust) and some inwards (towards camshaft)...no rhyme or reason to why they were put in that way
no intake in, exhaust out or anything like that
I felt in the lifter hole and there is a grove as if the oil for the lifters flows down the block so in my mind the lifters can be place in either orientation so I put them all with oil port inboard
Wanting to know if there is a specific way they are supposed to be put in
