3.0 will not start. Need help asap.

Yes holding pressure now. Soaking the injectors now also. Checked them today with an Ohm meter and had 14 Ohms on each one. Noid light says they are getting the signal. My thinking now is maybe at the wrong time IDK:icon_confused: In the morning I plan to put them back in and take the ICM and have it checked or pull the one from my other Ranger and stick it in to see what happens. May have two broke Rangers then :D

I have seen once before, if the batt. shorts on the hood, due to speed bump or any other upward jerk and no batt hold down.

the fuel pump would shut down when running but would stay on with key on engine off.

test it befor replacing any parts.

:yahoo::yahoo: :icon_cheers: Well this is crazy. Pulled all the injectors last night and soaked in Sea Foam Gas Treatment. First thing this morning I took the ICM and had it checked and it checked ok. Cleaned the outside of the injectors and made sure the little screens were clean. Put on new o-rings and little caps. Put it all back together and it cranks and runs great!! :icon_cheers: Only put in 5 gal of the old gas back in after i changed the pump so I poured in a can of Sea Foam and now I am going to put in 5 more gal of "new" gas. However, the truck had "new" gas in it. It belongs to a teenager, they burn lots of gas:D This afternoon I am going to check the timing and pull the codes to see what I have. Just want to say thanks for all the help and maybe this will help someone else although I think it is not common. :icon_confused:

Well that lttle party did not last long. :bawling: Drove the truck around and the engine started missing for lack of a better word and did not want to take the gas. Made it back home. At idle the engine runs rough and the fuel relay is clicking away. Swaped it with another one and no change. A lttle hard to start up but it will start now. Also my code reader will not go through the koeo test. When you hit the test hold button it turns on the fuel relay and stops after that with no codes. Used it a lot on my 89 ranger so the code reader is good and has new batteries. Tried it with the relay unplugged but got the same thing.

This morning with the engine cold it runs real well. Drove it around the block with no trouble but once the engined heated up the check engine light came on and the relays started clicking and it did not want to run. :icon_confused:

Like I said above the code reader starts the koeo test then stops. The first click is one of the relays after that nothing. The code reader is a good one.

You don't need a code reader for a 92. Try pulling them manually.

From your description now I'd try cleaning all the grounds. It is a 92 and ground connections rust etc. Find as many as you can, disconnect and clean with wire brush.

did you try the inertia switch. bypass it with a mini fuse, and see if problem is corrected. when mine went it acted like what yours is doing.
