So my 3.0 just lost oil press. and developed a rod knock so out with the old in with the new.
initial questions
1) whats the best year 5.0 (FI) as far as ease of swapping (Im not a fan of tracking eternal electronic woes on swaps.)
2) What trans options do i have? i'd like a t5 but can i bolt my tcase to that?
3) Will my factory rear end handle the power?
4) Will the factory fuel system hook up?
5) Am i going to need driveshafts for all the tranny options, or is their one i can get close enough to factory location?
6) On a more general topic, with a 302 how well do you guys think my ranger would tow my 96' firebird on a light tandem axle car trailer with brakes? (car is about 3100 lbs, dont know trailer weight, but its not heavy)
any other general suggestions are appreciated!
