3.0 to 4.0 fitment.

ok i did some searching and didn't come up with all the answers i need. so i have a 98 ranger with a 4.0. i am getting ready to buy a 2000 with a 3.0 for the frame and other parts. my question is will the converters and exhaust work on my 4.0. i'm getting rid of the engine an trans. mine was jacked of the converters and exhaust.

Converter? Yes.

Exhaust behind the cat? yes provided it's the same configuration truck
(std/std supercab/supercab Bed length, etc)

Y-pipe? No.
