2001 3.0XL single cab, all stock except an elec fan. I wish I had check it before I installed the fan because it was noticeable. In the seat and MPGs. I have a devise call a performance box that I use while testing my boat for drag racing. It will measure dist, speed and time for what ever I tell it to. that is a picture of the 1st run. (best of three) I put it in the Ranger to get a baseline. I also have my underdrive pully and the Taurus intake and Escape 60mm TB. I will also port the lower and heads (new set) in coming time. I want to do a swap, but will entertain myself with all of this 1st.

You must have an awfully sensitive butt. My mpg increase was about 8.47%, taken from extensive history of math method MPGs.

I definitely noticed the power increase, but as stated in other post, I do believe that my fan clutch was locked up all the time. When I got the truck it was making 17mpg and since the fan, again today I am at 20mpg. Today was 19.7mpg but I let the truck idle for a long time while flushing the radiator and again when cleaning the flush out and putting the antifreeze in. Also on that tank 3 1/4 mile passes to get a baseline before I make any other changes. I'm loving this lil truck lol. It's fun having something to play around with.

Pulley is on, now we wait on the tank of gas to burn, I will go "make a hit" 0-60 to see if its better.

I haven't put the vbox in it again to go see if there is any difference on the 0-60, but again, my butt says so lol. I passed a car this morning only dropping to fourth and passed it hard, also saw 80mph easily.

pretty cool. it's always nice seeing people get something out of a 3.0. Mine is reliable (most of the time) but no race truck lol. I've been wanting to hit up a JY and get a bigger throttle body from an escape but not pressed for it. Seems like there are other expenses everyday as life goes. Like this morning my fridge light was on for the ice maker, went to shut it off and it starts shorting out and smoking.... yay.... more money that I didn't need to spend.

Just because of my personal curiosity I can't wait till you do get numbers to see if there was a change in using the pulley. I like numbers, in this way, to prove that what you have done has an affect on the equipment.

definitely made a gain :) I see it in the MPG also, you have to go to the top of page to see the base run which was the best of three, 10.41 0-60

Finally broke 20 mpg, filled up at lunch 20.6 mpg, Did three 1/4 miles runs this morning on that tank too.

Are you doing a lot of town, city or highway driving? On the highway I manage 24 mpg this is why I ask.

Mostly short trips, 8 miles or less. Occasional 15-20 mile trip. A LOT of 1-2 mile city driving, going to the stores.

You're doing very well then. The best I ever got in town was between 17-18 mpg.
