My '05 3.0 has a stumble down low - under 2500 RPM. It started when I pulled my 3000lb Fairmont AutoX car half way accross the state and back. This also coincided with a spark plug change.

I installed Autolight platnum (single), and out came factory Motorcraft platnum with 91k that ran perfectly!

Are these engines sesitive to plug type? It kind of feels like an O2 sensor going out, but I have no check engine light and did not check for codes.

Any ideas/suggestions much appreciated!

BTW, my single cab 3.0M pulled my car like a champ, as good as my old '01 Sportrac 4.0...

Did you change wires? (carbon tracking) Are you sure the stumble is under 2500 or starts just over? If over 2500 and not code it can be a sign of syncro failure. If under you will probably need to runn anylizer on it to find the problems without a code.

My truck did the exact same thing from about 2,800 and up. My rig had 77k on it at the time. It turned out it was my syncro. Definitly make sure it's not that, because I'm sure you don't want to replace your powerplant. Pull codes anyway to be safe. It's easy and free.

No I didn't change the wires...its strange as it started after I changed the plugs. I will check codes.
