I just wanted to know if there are any other Fords that I can Take
the MAFS off of, n just Clip/Plug right in to mine...

Im sure some one on here has done this or tried this before..
Im trying to find as many better flowin parts that I can before
I take on my (SuperCoupe) M90 Swap.. I know this can be done
I have see 2 other rangers years ago that had them on there,
but at the time I was a 4.0 guy so I really didnt pay much mind..

Thanx,

what engine and throttlebody size are you going to be running? i dont think there are any mafs you can just rob that fit the bill, i found that pro-m (www.promracing.com) makes and tunes mafs to fit your needs, but you have to know what size injectors your using as the maf and computer have to be tuned for these. your best bet is to get an maf that matches the size of your throttlebody. you can modify your stock one, but stock or racing mafs for mustang 5.0s are too large, im not sure about ones for 3.8s. hope that helps.

I would like to Run Twin 60s.. 60mm Mafs n a 60mm T.B.

no, there arent.

MAF sensors have to be matched to their injectors and the PCM has to have the correct MAF map in it.

interesting that you want to run a dual intake setup but heres the thing: why? just cuz you have more than one intake that large doesnt mean your going to pull in that much air, plus you are also really complicating the system by having to link the throttlebodys and redo the computer for 2 tps inputs, two maf inputs and 2 iac outputs, its a setup i pondered a long time ago to mock whats on the higher horse viper but its not practical on such a small bore v6 when a single 60 or 65 is more than enuff. plus i dont think you can set that computer up for more than one tps/iac/maf sensor.

NO, I mean Dual 60s.. Like 1- 60mm TB n 1- 60mm MAFS

ill bet dual intakes could be done (i know thats not what you meant lil ranger, but bare with me).

you'll only need one TPS, since the throttles will move in sync and will thus be opened the same degree. you MIGHT be able to get away with a single MAFS as well...but it will have to be custom programmed (you'll have to spend some time on the dyno to get this setup tuned). the one MAFS would have to be programmed to think more air is flowing through it than there really is (a HUGE sampling tube). as long as no odd fluid dynamic anomalies occured that caused the engine to favor one intake or the other.

could be neat...:dunno:

i thought so too, forgot about having only one tps on it tho...all 4 cylinder inline motorcycles have 4 carbs/throttlebodies and a single tps w/ all linkage connected, the only problem is over time the cylinders wear differently and have to be synchronized every so often, i thought about trying 6 smaller t/bs on a v6 b4, but then i fig a single for everything is a much simpler setup. 60mm tb is available for w/ some minor modification to the intake and you can order a 60mm maf from pro m. just tell them your injector size and have everything programmed then spend some time on the dyno and you should be all set.:icon_thumby:
