i was goin down the road and my truck just shut off.....it started for like 4 secs and i gave it a lil gas and shut off again unplugged maf still wont start fuel pump is kicking on have spark at the plugs and new airfilter....any suggestions id appreciate it thnx

Sounds like a fuel issue to me Maybe a Clogged fuel filter. It maybe cutting on but not transfering fuel like it suppose to. If you take the fuel line loose where it connects to the fuel filter then turn the ignition on and see if you have flow to that point. * WARNING * make sure you have something to catch the fuel im most certainly sure you know that but i just wanted to say it. Check your fuel pump. After your truck stalls following these steps: Remove the gas cap. Put the ignition on the on position only (not start). Listen for a buzzing noise in the gas filler hole. It should buzz until the fuel system is pressurized. If you don't hear
the fuel pump buzzing, it's probably bad. Sometimes, the winding on the pump has a short on it just enough for it not to work. When the temperature on the pump goes down, it will work again. You might two people to do this test. One to turn the key on
and one to listen.

BTW, it is NOT a good a idea to always run on near empty of gas. The fuel pump gets cooled by the cold gas so the fuel pump is not submerged in gas it has a tendency to heat up.
