- In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Not straight up. There are some things that need to be changed or rearranged. I believe it takes different head gaskets or something like that to change the coolant flow and make it more appropriate for longitudinal mounting. There are some threads around here that talk about the differences. Do some searching and I'm sure you'll come up with the info.
