i was talkin to a buddy of mine and he was tellin me that he bored his 4cyl jeep to be able to put the 4.2 i6 pistons in it, my question is has anyone ever tried to bore the 3.0 to put 4.0 or 5.0 pistons in it? if so what numbers did you end up getting? if not, does anyone thing it would be worth a try?

I don't know if there's enough material between the cylinder walls to go that big with your pistons. You might have to find some middle ground and bore the cylinders out, and machine the piston's diameter down at the same time. Or just find smaller diameter pistons to begin with. Either route would be lots of machine work, and would probably get pretty expensive. It seems like there are cheaper, easier ways to get more performance out of your engine to me.
