3.0 auto to manual

Another a4ld bites the dust, again. This is the third rebuilt trans thats died on me . I do have over 350,000 miles on this truck . The current engine has about 80k on it and I'm ready to do the manual swap. I see very little on 3.0l swaps . Which trans should I be hunting for? I have found an wrecked explorer . The price is right so would the 4.0L engine/ trans swap be better than hunting down the parts for the 3.0L auto/manual swap. I would also have a newer rearend from the explorer as a bonus , with 350K on my current pne how much longer can it last?

theres not alot on the 3.0l swap because the only trans that will fit the 3.0l is one that came off from a 3.0l. they have a unique bellhousing bolt pattern that is not interchangeable with other motors. as for swapping in the 4.0 w/ trans instead of just swapping a trans, youll have a lot more down time doing it this way, but you might be happier in the long run since the 4.0l is everything you could ever want to 3.0l to be power wise. if you have any questions regarding the auto to manual swap just pm me, ive done 3 of them already and could point out the little details that might hang you up.
