i currently own a 90 2wd ranger. im lookin into doing a 4 wheel drive conversion but i already did the 302 swap. i would like to know if it is actually worth the work. cuz i understand how much different the suspensions are and the setups. but how much does it really take

The only real feasible option is a SAS. Change your front suspension (obviously) and add a transfercase in your driveline.

To do the factory suspension you have to yank your engine out and cut the main crossmember out and weld/bolt a new one in.

you'd have to change the transmissions as well as get a t-case.

IMO, i'd go find a ranger that's already 4wd, you can get one on the cheap-cheap

yeah i dunno i just finished the swap today and im gonna wait 500miles to see what she can do. i might just leave it 2wd and lift it i dunno
