2wd to 4wd

I have a toyo koygo 5 speed transmission. I reckon you call that tk 5 for short? It has two hook ups for the wiring harness one in the side and one that comes out obout 3" or so and has a connector on it. One is for reverse but not sure which one that is but what is the other one for. The truck is an 88 that had a m50 r1 2wd its going to be 4x4 when Iam done but the m50 r1 has the same wiring harness as the tk5 as in one on the side the other wire coming out so far with a conector on it Iam guessing that the connectors on both transmission are the same? can anyone give me some insight on this, and please excuse my bad grammar it suxs.

Hmmm... Can you take a picture of it?

I just put a TK5 in my 85 and it only had one connector on it for the reverse light switch. On the left (driver) side of the trans. The transfer case has a connector for the 4wd light, but neither of those has wires coming out of it.
