I was looking to buy a lift kit with no shocks and was wondering if I could keep my current front shocks which are less than a few months old. So I went into the Tech Library and found the shocks dimension charts. I figured that the front shocks would have the same dimensions from 2wd to 4wd, so I figured that my shocks would work. Now the question is, would you subtract 2" from the rear shock dimensions to get a shock for the rear? I figure that it -2" because of how 2wds do not have the 2" lift block from the factory. Am I correct in thinking this way? If that is the case, I will get 4wd shocks for the rear end. I don't need off road shocks, I don't off road often. That and my front shocks are new, those are the reasons why I will not be getting a kit with shocks.
