I was wondering if anyone has removed the the rain catchers/gutters/whatever the hell you call them above the doors? and is it hard?

I don't think I've seen it on a ranger but it's been done before. Try googling it. It seems like more trouble than it's worth since after it's cut, you have to weld back in the seam.

to do it "right" you have to cut out about a half inch and replace it with flat metal because there is a little bodyline right above the gutter. Its a lot of welding!

If you aren't building one of those ^^, why bother?

It's also a pinch seam between two different body parts. Don't cut it off all at once. I have not done it myself but I've seen where they cut and tack weld ~ 6" at a time.

^^^ Never understood why anyone would want one of those. I already have the Latina wife don't need the Latino truck.

haha some people would rather have the latino truck than a latina wife! to each their own, man. :icon_twisted:

The style may not be to my taste. Even so, I can appreciate the effort needed to do this to an old Ford truck. or a 64 Impala :D
