2L bore, 2.5L stroke

Anybody with knowledge about machining the 2L 3.52 bore block for the smaller journals of a 2.5L 3.401 stroke. Just thinking and I read somewhere about a square bore and stroke being ideal for smooth and even power delivery. If possible, it would be about 2.2L. Any machinist out there with an idea about this?

You do realize that Ranger have come with a 2.3 4-banger for years?

He's thinking that an exotic route of getting there, using the smaller bore block of a 2.0 with the longer stroke of the 2.5 will "gain" him something when he'd be better off using the 2.5.

And what he'd actually get is actually around 2175cc (Wild ass guess because I
can't be bothered to calculate it)

And the REAL reason the 2.5 produces more torque is because of
it's SMALLER ports and smaller valves.
