289 + supercoupe m5r2 tranny ... tel me what you think =)

i bought a 289 out of a 65 mustang and i have a super coupe tranny with less than 2000 mi on it ive been told it will bolt up but didnt try it yet and im going to be putting it into a ranger. i have a 93 2.3 dd but i hate the reg cab lol i want to find a 80s er early 90s ext cab good body but need not have a motor or trans.

Supercoupe was 3.8? I believe they have the Windsor bolt pattern. Mustang 3.8s did.

The belhousing will have the clutch and starter down lower than a Fox body T5 bellhousing, so tri-Y headers do not fit the passenger side. Of course, you can modify them.

Belhousing is the same shape as '94/'95 Mustang 5.0 (the 3.8 Mustang belhousing is, I mean. It's got a large "3.8" cast on it)
