$260 for an alignment? F That

i want to lift my ranger with 92 front coils off of explorer and to put blocks in the back and do a 3 in body lift i heard people have problems with allingment issues what can i change or should i not worry and do it anyway? help me out please.

this happens whenever you level it. the most expensive part for me i think was the new bushings because the alignment shop wouldnt let me supply my own from napa. had to get there expensive ass ones.

...or he wouldn't let you use your part b/c he couldn't make money off of it.
(this is on topic I swear)
a lot of shops won't use outside parts b/c they can't sell it at a marked up price. They claim it's "an insurance thing" or "they can't give you a guarantee" because "they're unsure of the quality of the part." It's all b.s.
Honestly, that shop probably put in the same napa bushings that you wanted to use.

Shawn_248 - that dude who is only charging you $150 is probably just charging you the cost of the parts and giving you a good discount on labor. If he does good work, definitely keep his number handy. You might need it again someday.

I did a leveling like that a year ago and I knew I was going to need adjustable camber bushings (form napa) so I installed them myself when I did the coil spacers and adjusted them all the way to make it look right then when I took it to the alignment shop I didn't tell them expect to say I installed new parts. and they were able to alien it no problem for $49. good luck tho

ahhhh thats a good idea i have a 99 i just recently put some new arms on and the ppl at trueline said $260, i have no clue as to what kind of camber/caster kit to buy, the guy at trueline said he could only adjust it up to 2 degrees but it was gunna cost 260 to get the kit and install it, does anybody know what kind of kit i would need?

did the same as cool j i think the bushings were like 15 bux a peice or something. and to top it off after i got it aligned, i ended up re-doing it myself a month later b/c the jackass at the alignment didn't get it right and i blew threw 1/2 the tread on my brand new 31's in like 10,000 miles. makes me wonder why i ever pay someone to touch my truck...
