Anyone ever run a 215/85/16 on their RBV? Or any other vehicles for that matter? They are the same height as my 245/75/16 but skinnier which would be nice since even with aggressive tread my truck floats on the snow more than I like. Most of them are 8 or 10 ply but they weight the same as my 4 ply 245s, probably due to being skinnier.

i'm running that size on my truck. they are great! don't have to worry so much about punctures or cuts due to the heavier casings. mine are the E-rated, but the link goes to the lighter D-rated tires that i'm running. great tires, very good traction in all kinds of bad (and good) weather conditions, tread is still at 75% after 4 years and close to 30k miles. i have no complaints at all and will buy them again when (if) these ever wear out.

I only use 85% aspect ratio tires... I personally like the look and skinnier tires save a little in rolling resistance...

Any pictures of them on your truck? Good to hear you like them, I looked at some treadwrights and wasn't sure if it was worth it being a retread. Have you done any highway miles on those tires?

they spent their 1st 2 years on my geo tracker trail truck, here is the link and you can see them on the first row of pics. sorry, no current pics of them on my ranger. i've had them on 3 1600+ mile trips and they are going again in 2 weeks. i live in northern Minnesota and visit the folks in Indiana. my drive to work and back is 60 miles round trip 3 days a week. also have made numerous 350-400 mile trips. i cruise at about 65 or so and they are rock steady. the only thing i might change is upgrading to 235/85x16's next time for another inch of height. that's it. same tires for sure!

If so, they look great in that size. I might have to get me some.
