I finally reserved a campsite today. There were only 4 tent sites left available when I called.

I cant figure out how to book a site online. Office closed at 5. I will call and grab one first thing when they open in the morning. I got caught up after work and didn't get home in time.

I used smoke signals. Apparently you're supposed to do that outside.

I had that problem too, but Eric or someone explained how to get to the booking site for me several pages back. To save you the trouble, if it works, this should be a link to the booking site. Tent sites are selected, but you chould be able to change that in the drop down to see what else is available (probably not much).

Hopefully next year I can stop by one of these events. Normally the Halloween drift event is the first weekend in October, then typically the second week of October is reserved for my annual party (aka Sethfest). Unfortunately this year I also have to attend my sister-in-law's wedding reception in October as well..(No one else wants to go either)...so October is booked for me.

I made my reservation over the phone, If I remember correctly. I needed to talk to the staff about the RTT anyway since some places won't let you camp in a tent site with an RTT. PA State Parks makes you reserve an RV spot.

Excursion #1 Friday - A scenic mountain drive with several stops at historic sites. One stop will involve a short hike of about 1 mile out and back with some steep sections. Also several miles of easy gravel road. Mostly paved.

I'll pass on Excursion #1. My knees aren't up for a two mile hike with steep sections.
