Southern California is way over there, I don't have to look at it every day. So yes, I try not to think about it.

I’m ok with NJ as far as that goes... OBDII is the best thing that ever happened to NJs inspections.
1996 and later... no check engine light, here’s a sticker see you in 2 years. No charge.
1995 and earlier... you’re exempt, because you still have all the factory emissions devices and they work perfectly. Right?

i think texas might have higher property taxes than california though.

its 70 something here too, today. its supposed to be in the 80s tomorrow and the weekend. 50s at night. same stupid humidity though, walk outside to check the mail and you have to take a shower again when you come in but i will take that over snow everyday.

earthquakes aren't that bad. not as bad as tornados and floods. i slept through most when we lived there in the 80s and early 90s but cali does have all those riots.

Going to see how the family feels about postponing Texas; it would help build up some PTO if they are okay with it. Oliver depleted what I had built up and then I got sick depleting it again. But then there is the issue of getting that weekend approved with the boss. Work has a really strange policy on vacation where you can't take the same timeframe off 2 years in a row. I understand it's to allow others a chance at that time, but it does get annoying at times. I took the weekend after Labor Day off last year so I'm not all that hopeful.

Next door to me in Saskatchewan is Manitoba, east of me. Prevailing wind is out of the West. Manitoba sucks.
