2022 Ranger Roundup

Florida is too hot and humid in the winter, I don't know how people could want to live there in the summer.

Even with all the years I’ve deployed to the desert, Florida gets to hot for me in the summer time.
Everyone knows - "It's not the heat. It's the humidity"

Some days we get 110% humidity with 0% chance of rain. Not like the dry heat from the western states. Sometimes it's so humid outside, it's hard to get a breath. Imagine a beautiful day where it's too humid to go outside

The humidity is the real killer.

That.. and crocodiles.. methheads..

FIFY

Gators and crocs aren't as abundant as you may think. Don't get me wrong, they're everywhere, but you hardly notice them and when you do, they're usually sunning and don't bother you. I'm not sure what Maine has to offer as wildlife, Blue Crab ? otters ?, maybe. IDK, but each state has it's "dangerous wild life" to avoid. The manatees are what you should be looking for when you come down here. They are like majestic sea cows.

Also we are not the only place with methheads. besides, it's bath salts that make people eat off faces.

Here I am making fun of the souths IQ and I go and do something like that -__-

I'll be in the corner.

I DO know the difference.. if I saw one in real life.

Once I spotted one... an alligator would see me later.. but a crocodile wouldn't see me for awhile.

Don't you dare come out of that corner.

I’ve been to both Florida and Maine, let me settle this....
Maine is absolutely beautiful and everyone should go visit there at least once in their life.
Florida sucks, except for the fact that it’s warm in the winter.

So now that this is a Florida vs the North thread, I would just like to say " F Snow" and being completely shut down for winter months. We got like 2.5 weeks of "cold" weather this winter. Currently 70+* outside right now, with low to mid 50's at night. we never get "snowed in" or need to plow the driveway. all the salt is at the beach or in a Margarita, not on the roads and bottoms of our trucks. We don't need winter tires AND summer tires, just some decent all seasons and you're good to go. Florida is beautiful also. It's the Sunshine State for crying out loud. It's supposed to be hot. No matter where you are in Florida, the beach is less than 2 hours away.
