2021 Bronco = Spring board to the 2023 Ranger

If they truely hope to compete with the wrangler...it needs a solid front

The benchmark has always been Jeep... and I personally don't think we've seen it all just yet.

I still wish they would stuff a coyote in one

I would be happy with a naturally aspirated V6...

Had a couple interior photos leaked a couple days ago...

What I'm liking about what I see is the upfitter switches in the overhead console. Also the switch bank on the dash. In that 6 switch array would be three switches for a locking front diff... locking rear diff.... and locking transfer case. This thing gets better all the time.

Ford
is set to finally unveil its new Bronco off-road SUV next month, although it seems that almost every day we're learning more about the revived off-roader. Now we can see that the interior will feature (no surprise these days) a large screen. Above it will be a row of controls and six toggle switches above the rearview mirror, as well as controls behind the gear selector.

It's fair to expect that the Bronco will be a serious off-roader; it has to be in order to compete with the Jeep Wrangler. We know it'll have an off-road-focused variant, likely an FX4, with off-road tires, a lifted suspension, and flared fenders. But it'll also need some gadgets inside the cabin to help it function well in various off-road terrain situations.

That's what we suspect the six toggle switches above the rearview mirror are for. Ford will offer more than 150 Bronco accessories at launch, according to Automotive News, and these upfitter switches will primarily connect to accessories such as additional exterior lighting, although they can be used for almost anything.

As for the rotary knob behind the gear selector, that's likely for Ford's terrain management system. It allows drivers to switch between different terrain-based driving modes on the go. The large touchscreen, separated by two large air vents, will be powered by Ford's latest Sync4 infotainment system. Above the screen, there's a smaller screen with logos for the traction control, multiple differential lockers, and what could be a drive-mode indicator.

Why does it have a Staples Easy button on the dash?

It's a cloaking button you push if you see someone with a camera. The driver failed.

The interior looks early 80s mustangish from what i can see. I like it. If only they wouldnt have to use those giant dumb ass screens on everything.

@Jim Oaks I didn't realize you had already put an article together for the latest interior photos. Were is it posted?

I didn't. What I posted is from the link at the beginning of my post.

That’s an industrial “E stop” (emergency stop) button. The official “oh shit” control device for machinery.

On a car they call that the ignition switch...

I didn't notice the first sentence was a link...

Hopefully a lot of what we're seeing here with the Bronco gets applied to the next gen Ranger.
