I know it's not ranger related but most of you are die hard ford weirdos so maybe someone has an answer. :headbang:

I bought my aunt a 2018 ford feisra base model no frills. Not a bad little car for her but it has extremely annoying door locks that she keeps bugging me about. No matter what you do, the doors automatically lock after 20-30 seconds. Even if you hit the unlock button they just relock. There's no crime where we are so no one locks car doors. She has already locked the keys in the car 3 times lol. Is there anyway to disable this auto lock crap?

To disable the automatic locks will take two keys. Take one key and keep it in your pocket or purse or whatever. When your keys get locked in the car, simply pull out the other key and open the door. Put the second key back in your purse or pocket and drive away.

Sorry for the sarcasm...I'm at work and the power is out so I'm just kinda goofing off.

First thing I would do is consult the book.

From the 2017 Owners manual, 18 should be the same.

Enabling or Disabling Auto Unlock
Note: See an authorized dealer to enable
or disable the auto unlock feature or carry
out the following procedure.
Note: You will have 30 seconds to
complete the procedure.
1. Switch the ignition on.
2. Press the power door lock button three
times.
3. Switch the ignition off.
4. Press the power door lock button three
times.
5. Switch the ignition on. The system
alerts you with a tone to indicate your
vehicle is in programming mode.
6. Press the power door lock button for
less than one second and release.
A tone sounds to confirm the change.
After programming the feature, switch the
ignition off to exit the programming mode.
