Also, what exactly is your transmission doing? A lot of people don’t realize that the A4LD, 4R- and 5R- transmissions had bands that were supposed to be adjusted periodically. Also, auto transmissions don’t like heat, so I always advocate for at least a TransGo shift kit and an extra cooler in the front. I personally go for more than a basic shift kit, but not everyone is me, lol. I did almost every mod I could dig up on my 92 transmission (it was starting to slip and sluggish going into reverse and stuff), turned that thing into a beast that would light up the back tires if you gave it too much throttle. My green Ranger is about to get a TransGo Stage 2 shift kit plus whatever other mods I can find to throw at it. I’m going to do a deep dive into it, I’m going to record some reference points before I tear it apart, document the mods, and put it back together then re-test it for reference points and see what changes. That doesn’t really apply to you since I have a 4R70 in it. Yours will be more like the A4LD that I did in the 92.
