my clutch is super weird upon start up she hates going into gear the odd time i even gotta start it in gear (the colder the worse it seems) once rolling she shifts fine. with truck of all gears are there with ease. if i come to a complete stop without going in first before i stop i gotta jam it in first or see if i can get in any other gear and then go to first but usually its a complete lockout. ive bled my clutch replaced the whole assembly actually and bench bled it 100% correctly and still had the issue. topped up tranny fluid issue still there. cant see to find my cause its a 2011 4.0 manual tranny shes not my daily just my work truck and for hauling my toys but needa get this fixed before another pissed off dude at a red light gives me a finger for not going cuz i cant get her in gear lol

pilot bearing?

when the pilot bearing starts to fail it grabs the input shaft and keeps it spinning.
any squeals, grabbyness, or popping sounds?

I was thinking the same thing but for it to only be happening when the truck isnt rolling and there is no noises at all while the clutch is pressed in. My only idea would clutch not be fully disengaging making it easier when rolling but harder when at stop. i also forgot to mention when on flat surface and trying to put it in gear when it wont go she rolls slightly barley noticeable but it is happening.

Welcome to TRS :)

That would be my guess as well, pilot bearing

The transmission is connected to the rear wheels directly, no disconnect
So transmission spins at rear wheel speed, always
When you are stopped transmission is at 0 RPMs

The clutch disconnects engine from transmission
At idle engine is at, say 700rpms
When stopped transmission is at 0 RPMs
When you push clutch pedal down it releases pressure on the clutch disk
But the clutch disk(at 700rpm) must now slow down to 0 RPM so you can put transmission "in gear"
If there is any rubbing(air in the system) then disk can't slow down much
If the pilot bearing inside the crank shaft is rubbing then also can't slow down much

When you are moving the "rpm matching" is not as hard, the disk doesn't have to slow down to 0 RPMs
This is, for sure, not a transmission issue

And there are only 2 things that can keep clutch disk from dropping to 0 RPMs easily
Slave is not fully extending so disk is rubbing on flywheel and/or pressure plate
Or
Pilot bearing is binding up and not allowing input shaft/disk to easily slow down to 0 RPMs

EDIT:
Your added symptom of "its rolls" a bit on flat road in gear with clutch pedal down would only be caused by slave not extending all the way, the clutch disk IS rubbing, not fully released
Pilot bearing couldn't do that, not without a lot of noise, lol

So it is either air in the system, could be top of master, or failing master or slave

Thanks for the welcome Ron!
I appreciate your problem solving and after reading everything you've posted Ive come to the conclusion the only issues remaining are pilot as Ive bench bled the system topped up tranny fluid even measured my slave engagement distance and nothing seems to be off. As i said she isn't my daily i only drive it when doing work for my parents or going to take my quad out for a drive and i got really good caa coverage so i think I'm just gunna drive her till the tranny goes pop or if she makes it till the summer ill give her a new one. I know this sounds kind of silly but if you put it in my perspective i got this rig just to haul my quad Ive already done 10k on this tranny without getting any worse so the damage Ive done from every so often having to force her into gear is probably not the best. With that being said I'm gunna keep driving her until this summer and if she makes it ill get her a new transmission i already have new clutch slave etc just got to pickup a tranny local Ive had my eye on one for 450$ that came out of a truck with 93,000km. I will keep you all updated on with photos when i do the job but as we are all suspecting im betting its the pilot bearing.

But as said I don't think the pilot bearing could "roll" the vehicle with clutch pedal down all the way, it's under a 1" shaft for grip

The Master sits at a 45deg angle up, so air WILL get trapped at the top which lowers the amount of fluid that can flow to the slave when pedal is pushed down, and any rubbing of the 10" clutch disc will cause vehicle to "roll"

You can pull out the master, flip it so any air goes to the "back" where hose is and then rebleed, with master at that angle
Its a pain but last thing to try before pulling trans

You can also buy pre-bled masters

And yes, it is hard on the transmission/shifter's roll pins to "force" it into any gear, also more wear on synchros
So if possible shift into 1st while still rolling or leave it in any gear when stopped, that holds clutch disc at 0 RPMs
Then shift it to 1st
But still a pain to hold clutch pedal down the whole time while stopped

As soon as you shift to neutral and release the clutch pedal the disc is at engine RPMs again

Sometimes the synchros for 3rd or 4th can slow down the clutch disc better than 1st, so try putting trans into 3rd or 4th while stopped, then shift to 1st, might make it easier
