2011 Mustang

Man I want one so bad. I might think about picking one up after my first deployment...:headbang:

Know of several that have ordered their's while over there and got quite a military discount.
These new ones have a whole different drive train that is going to make them a beast. With the new six speed manual, they have gone to a lower first gear that makes a 3.73 rear pull like the old 4.6 with 4.10's but now has 100 more hp and red line of 7K. They're putting down about what the 4.6 did with the M-90 Eaton blower, 385-395 rwhp. Best bang for the buck I think.

you can order 3.73 gears from factory but if u dont they come with 3.31 limited slip diff, they r gonna be bad ass for sure, you can price one online, i priced a base model with basically a performance package (all the performance options) and it came out at around $32k. Id kill for one but that will happen no time soon haha

My brother just called, the salesman just came running back into the shop to tell my brother that his Mustang just began production today...

:yahoo:

Well, good news to him. From the time it starts on the assembly line till the time it rolls off is 6 1/2 hrs. Then it can sit in the lot for 2-3 weeks or so. If he has the VIN, he can track the actual progress. Dealer ought to be able to furnish him the scheduled arrival date also. Nobody should shy away from that 3.31 gear. With the revised gearing in the six speed transmission, first and second gear give you about the same takeoff as having a 3.55. With the 3.73, it's more like having a 4.10 in the rear. They sure are going to be fun. Hope anyone who has one coming, really enjoys it.

It will have to go down a second line to get the scoops, louvers, spoiler and decklid trim, so it probably won't be done today. The build date was originally going to be the 20th so either they are ahead of schedule or that is the day that they are done with the car (after the second line)

From there is shipped by rail to Kansas City and then trucked back up here.

They were thinking late May or early June last week, but now they may be able to be more exact. He works at the dealership and has been bugging them about it since he ordered it in February.

They have orders to not only track the progress but to print the progress. :icon_thumby:

I think I'll keep mine! :-)

You into HPDE? How about doing the "Tail of the Dragon"? Probably lost some people there. Wish the Nationwide series was running the Mustangs already, plan to go down an watch them at Road America next month but still in the Fusions. Nice car by the way!

The Dragon is something that you should see, but I wouldn't run it like you'd want. It's too congested now. It was awesome in the late 90's on the bike but frankly there are MANY better roads to be had in a short jaunt from there.

The dragon is a cop magnet.

That's not far from my house. I hear or about 5 people a year who get killed on it, mostly bikers though.

ugly thing =P nothing of what it was back in the 60's and 70's

You look more for something like this?

It's enought to scare the crap out of you after not driving it over the Winter. Haven't had a dyno run yet but should be 510-545 rwhp but still gets over 19 mpg on the interstate. Slight modifications. Save your money.
