Hmmm it might bolt on still. The caliper would be on the top of the disc is all. Dodge has been mounting their calipers that way for years on the grand caravan.

The second thing I noticed when I started getting Sport Tracs was how much better the brakes were. The first thing I noticed was how much better the seats were.Sweet, about time they did that. Drums are a pain in the dick, and I hate dick pain.
I was extremely impressed when I swapped the drum brakes for disc brakes on the Explorer 8.8 I had under the Bronco II. The braking was a bizillion times better after the swap then before. That is saying a lot since the Explorer 8.8 drums are much larger than the stock Bronco II 7.5 drums and braking was greatly improved when I put the drummed 8.8 in.The second thing I noticed when I started getting Sport Tracs was how much better the brakes were. Now if only I could find a disc brake setup for my 8.8 f150 setup that looked stock!!
