2010 2.3l

I changed my oil yesterday with the Motorcraft 5-20 synthetic and a Motorcraft FL-910s filter and my truck seems to be bogged down. I didn't over fill the oil. Is it because the oil is synthetic so it's thicker and not like the Pennzoil 5-20 High Mileage I used before?

Thicker oil won't necessarily cause an engine to "bog down".

Sounds like you have something else going on...like maybe a plug wire knocked off or something you forgot to attach recently...retrace your steps under he hood to double/triple check your work...

Other than that...could be exhaust is restricted...since the loss of power could relate to your original post on losing power going up hill...

Could be any number of things, really...but a sudden loss of power right after an oil change (that was done right otherwise) appears to be the result of an oversight...

Yeah I didn't think the oil should make a very noticeable difference. I looked and everything seems to be where it should but I'm still going to change my spark plugs soon anyway.
