Hi folks,
I'm hoping that someone mighy have some ideas with this problem....
I have a 2009 Ranger 4x4 with 60,000km on it. There seems to be a suspension noise that I can best describe as two empty plastic bottles being whacked together; that is, it's a hollow-type of sound. It doesn't seem to be a ball-joint issue from the sound of it, as bad ball joints tend to have a more deeper 'clunk' to them....
I took the Ranger into the stealership last week, and they couldn't locate the problem, but they decided to adjust the passenger door latch, and replace the clips on the front license plate..... Yeah.... whatever....
The sound seems to happen when traveling over a sharper bump, meaning that there seems to be more of a torsion related issue....
Anyone seen or heard of anything like this???
Oh, I also had the lower ball joint on the driver side changed about 20K km ago. The current noise seems to be on the passenger front....
Thanks!
