I have a 2008 Ranger XLT that was in an accident. The Ranger protected me very well. I recently got it back from repair and noticed a weird thing going on with the driver’s side power mirror. The controls for out and in seem to be backwards. Pushing the controls out brings the mirror in and vise-versa. I don’t remember if this was the way it was before the accident. The passenger side seems to be working correctly. Is this correct?
Thanks

Pushing to the left on the mirror stick should point the glass towards the side of the truck, and pushing right should point it away from the truck.

I have seen mirrors made with some of the pins flipped on the connector causing exactly what you are describing. The fix so to take the mirror out, remove the pins, and flip them to the right spots.

heh, heh. My 94 Ranger replaced my last Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Jeeps have a lot of Ford parts in them. So this is my point of reference with Rangers. On the wags, if you didnt un hook the mirror switch when you removed the door card to fix something in the door, you ripped the switch in half and spent a couple hrs of fussing with the pin out.:icon_confused:

Thank you for the replys. I can not belive i never noticed this before now. Have a great holiday.
