Does the 2008 fx4 sit as high as all the older ranger 4x4's. I am getting ready to buy one and want to be able to crank a little and run 32's

Somewhere here not real long ago there was a post discussing this, but I can't seem to find it now.

IIRC, the 2008 sits a bit lower due to how the torsion bars are set (and possibly shorter rear blocks), but there should be no reason you can't bring it up to the height of the older trucks by cranking the torsion bars up and using older blocks (if applicable).

+1

It seems as if Ford used shorter blocks on the rear and turned down tbars in the front.

Thanks guys thats what I was hoping. I will just swap the 2 in block for a 3in and crank away. Maybe it won't ride too rough.

Thats exactly what I did to mine. Rides like any other torsion bar Ranger--- ROUGH!!

How much did you crank the front as far as the bolt itself? Did you max that factory bolt out? And what did you do in the rear. I am thinking about adding a 1 inch block to the factory spacer. I just want to run a 265/75/16 terra grappler
