2008 FX4 transmission issue maybe?

I bought a used 2008 FX4 about 5 months ago. It had 75,000 miles on it when I bought it. I have about 86,000 on it now. It is an automatic transmission and the 5.4 engine.
I noticed about a month or so after I bought it that occasionally when it down shifted to second it would hit kinda hard some of the time. It still does this every now and again.
Friday I noticed a few times what felt like a small rubble strip every so often. Tonight I realized that it was happening when it down shifted from OD to third. Again it isn't all the time but certainly enough to have me concerned.

I have checked the fluid level and it was fine.

Is this some known problem? or am I in for major headache?

Looking for some helpful advice or previous experience with this.

Probably time to change the tranny fluid, sounds like torque converter shudder to me.
