Picked up this Mustang in November 2019. It's a 4.0 V-6 Stang. Bought it because the appearance caught my eye. Love the dark blue with flat black stripes and parts. Not concerned about it being a V-6, I am more cruiser than racer anyways. As long as it gets around my favorite stretch of curvy road (it does), I am real happy. It has a true dual exhaust with two cats and the two mufflers. Not sure on the story with that. Did it come that way, or was it modified? Because it still has mufflers that say FORD on them, yet they are quite throaty for what may be stock mufflers. I'm liking the sound, especially after putting on the IAC.

What's been done so far, in order. Ford Racing strut tower brace, WeaponR intake with ram air scoop mounted in lower grill on driver's side, Accel Supercoils, JBA Power Wires, Cervinni's front chin spoiler, rear window louvers. Have numerous other body parts on order, but they are being painted to match before shipping, so could be a few weeks.

That's not a lightning!!!!
You had to bring it up... didn’t you?

I was proud of cbxer for not mentioning the “L” word.

Will it be faster than the lightning?

As far as the dual exhaust, the 2007 6 cyl came with a single exhaust, If it has duals then it was added by previous owner.
I had a 2007 GT California Special, bought new. I am well versed in that year and what was available.. Almost every aftermarket part made for the GT with the exception of the engine itself, will fit the standard non GT Mustang.
Duals for the 6 cyl was no big deal as a dozen different companies made them. The only item that would have been added was the rear bumper with the dual exhaust cutouts.

I hate those through the bumper exhausts. My 65 has that and I'm constantly tweeking the pipes to keep them centered... the half cutout style aint bad.

I think you have the pony package, because of the grille. It's good looking, congrats!
I've had a 2013 v6 premium pony package but it was totaled. Now i just have 2014 GT with other packages.

Nice ride you have there.

Somehow I doubt the "Pony Package" came with the Roush rear spoiler and hood scoop. I'm not sure how this occurred. Did a dealer have the spoiler, scoop and flat black stripes that blend into the scoop and spoiler done as a side job? The person I bought it from didn't strike me as the type that would do this. More just a buy it and drive it type. It was for his daughter to drive to high school and back. They took care of it well, just didn't seem the type to mod things. I've sent him pics of what I've done so far, and he's impressed. He said, "I never knew that type stuff could be done to that car!" Bwahaha

He don't know me very well. ;)

I looked up 2007 Roush Mustang. Every single one has that exact spoiler and hood scoop. I've only seen one other even close, it was all white, the spolier and scoop panted to match. I like how mine is done Boss style, with all the added parts flat black. So just curious how these particular parts ended up on a base V6 model. Guess I'll ask him soon. Told him I'd bring it by once I get the rest of the parts on it. Window scoops, lower fender scoops and head light splitters. All being painted before they are shipped. Should be a couple weeks. Assuming the world is still here with this damn beer virus going around.

I found this pic on a search of 2007 Mustang Pony Package. But, it's listed as a 2007 GT options package. Not a base V-6 option package. Curious.

The front spoiler I put on was listed for the base V-6 model. They do offer the same spoiler for the GT, but it has a different lower front bumper, so the fit isn't identical. But otherwise, yeah, you're correct.

This is for Dirtman. Just got done installing HID "fog" lights and LED corners. Also one-off LED tails. Gotta get that obligatory Lightning pic or two in. LOL!!

The damn flasher relay is in an impossible place. So I installed Load Equalizers on all four corners. Finally got them to blink properly.

Should've had the windows up. They are almost opaque they are so dark.

Ford probably still has most of those upgrades in their performance SVT and SVO catalog.
I suspect the prior owner was keeping genuine parts in that Mustang.
My younger brother bought the Motorsport dual exhaust shortly after buying his yellow 2006 Mustang. His was a 6cyl with manual tranission.
He would get gas milage that rivaled most compact cars. I was envious.

A few more goodies added the last few weeks. Scoops on the side windows and lower fenders. Head light splitters, hood locks, smoked front corner lights, smoked led third brake light, smoked led sequential tail lights. Blacked out the rear side markers since I couldn't find any smoked ones for sale anywhere. ;-(

Found a rare part that will fit my Stang since it has a GT rear end with the dual exhaust. APR Performance makes a carbon fiber diffuser for it, it's on order. Be here early June. Think that's about it though, running out of ideas. LOL!!

Hit that front spoiler for the first time yesterday leaving the local Ford dealer. Didn't break, minor ding on the lower surface. I suppose for a large low hanging front spoiler like that, it's to be expected. Couldn't avoid it. Exit from the dealer downhill, street goes uphill at the same point. Double edged sword. I was like, Oh shit, it's broke! LMAO!

The 4.0 in the Mustang was actually pretty peppy, even in stock form. Especially with a manual trans.

If I was going to buy one I'd prefer the 4.6, just because it actually gets better mileage, particularly on the highway.
