Hey guys, I have a lead on a 3.0l with low miles. Problem is, I dont know if it will work in my 95. A little insight would be nice. Thanks in Advance.

You will need to swap intake, sensors, and probably exhaust. Basically, bring it home, strip it to a long block, and put it back together with the parts from your existing engine. Then it will work.

Okay thank you. Also, the truck just died on me on the highway one day and wouldnt start again. New fuel pump, cam pos sensor, crank pos sensor, plugs and coil pack.

Cool story. Sounds like you are really good at buying parts and not good at all at diagnosing cars.

If it didn't make any noise and just died it wouldn't be time for a new engine.

For quick test do 50/50 test
spray gasoline or Quick Start(ether) into the intake manifold and crank the engine
If it starts and then dies then spark is OK but there is no fuel flow
If it doesn't start then there is no spark or no compression
50/50

Compression would be next, because it is black and white not intermittent.
Just test 1 cylinder to start with, above 150psi would be expected
Under that and you should test all the cylinders

If compression is OK
Then you will test spark system, starting with coil pack and if it has 12volts with key on

No spark or no fuel flow(injectors) could be computer issue
