I have a 2006 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 manual
Just driving down the road I lost power to any gear i tried and the truck wouldnt go over 20, also in a sort of limp mode chugging back and forth. I limped it to a part store and towed it home. I have 0 check engine lights, replaced the fuel pump, filter, and plugs and wires.
The truck runs now for about 2-3 seconds and shuts off and is hard to start again.

Do you have a code reader? There could be pending codes that haven't lit the CEL yet.

Does the CEL work?

Does it light up with engine off and the key in the run position?

Why did you replace the fuel pump?
