I purchased this ranger about a week ago was working fine , I’ve been driving it back and forth to work , 2 days ago I was on my way to work and truck wouldn’t accelerate, would only rev to 2000-3000 rpm , I replaced wires, coil, plugs and fuel filter when I purchased it , the owner before me had put a new iac and alternator, I’ve checked fuel pressure at the rail (65 psi) engine sounds good at idol and even reving with the clutch in , but can barely get out of its own way, I’ve been thinking maybe the cats are plugged but maybe someone can point me in another direction. I’m new to rangers so any direction is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you want to buy a vacuum gauge you can check to see if the cats are plugged. Here's a link.

+1 ^^^

Vacuum gauge is still one of the best diagnostic tools you can have for any gasoline engine, 1 cylinder to V12
And they are cheap, lol
