As the title states I have a 06 FX4 Level 2 Ranger which is sitting stock on 31/10.5/15's right now... I want to level out my front end on the truck and from everything Ive been reading on here I should stay the hell away from leveling keys and just crank up my tbars and get an alignment... Thats easy enough but what is the main reason for avoiding the keys? Also how much bigger of a tire will I be able to fit after cranking up the tbars?

the reason they say stay away from the keys is that they don't gain any more lift than what you can get by cranking them....

just make sure you park on a nice level surface so as to be able to measure for before and after ( don't go over 2", which is all that is recommended )

i would say you could run 32's safely......add a body lift and easily go 33's

Torsion keys do the same thing as cranking your t-bars. The only difference is if you crank your t-bars up with torsion keys in it screws up your ball joints and cv axle angles and wears them faster. You should be able to fit 32x11.50 stock.

Actually.....they allow so much more avaliable lift, that you severly change the ball joint angles and CV shaft angles, causing heavily excessive wear on the components, and give you virtually no downtravel what so ever. Shitty ride, parts turn to shit, which ends up draining the wallet every year it seems($500 for balljoints and alignment probably every year).

Just crank the bars some, throw on some 32x11.50's and you'll be happy. You can also fit 33x10.50's on those stock wheels with a torsion crank too. Or bodylift it or 4" Superlift it and fit 33x12.50's comfortably(but not on those stock 7" wheels).

That'd be it! Take some before and after pictures! We love pictures!
