have problem with my 2006 ford ranger not going into 4 wheel. problem is not sure how to go about troubleshooting it. i did check fuses and not getting power to motor but i can't seem to locate 4x4 module. it is not where it should be according to haynes and then i stumbled across this site. wiring diagrams for this are hard to find also. i have read other posts concerning older model fords but some info i can't use because of locations and number of wires etc...
this looks like a great site, amazing what is out on the internet, i'm a golf course mechanic and we have a site like this also. good stuff
thanks

well if anybody reads this post, i found the problem. after locating the control module behind the radio i tested wires and had voltage to module but nothing to motor so i figured it was the module. put everything back together and was going to look around for a module and decided to try it again and it worked:icon_hornsup: everything works fine now, must have been a bad connection or tarnish buildup, corrosion etc. who cares it works.
will put dielectric grease on connections thou.
